As Shi Hao grows stronger, he leaves the Great Wilderness and enters increasingly advanced cultivation environments, facing conflicts that expand from personal rivalries to struggles involving entire realms. The later narrative concerns the upper realms, the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, the Sea of Boundaries, and the historical origin of a darkness threatening the fictional universe. The final volume describes Shi Hao's efforts to protect the Heavenly Court and the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths before entering the Sea of Boundaries in search of the source of the darkness.
