Time Prisoners (also known as Space-Time Prisoners) is a Chinese webcomic in the vampire survival action genre, created by writer and artist Bai Xiao. Its anime adaptation, titled Bloodivores, premiered on October 1, 2016. The series was co-directed by Chen Ye and Masashi Nakamura, produced by Haoliners Animation League's Japanese branch Emon, and animated by Creators in Pack alongside NAMU Animation.
Sixty years before the story, a global insomnia epidemic struck, driving sleep-deprived people to madness. A new medicine cured the condition but turned patients into vampires, later called "Bloodivores." These beings are feared and forced to wear special collars that alert authorities if they lose emotional control. Mi Liu, a half-human, half-Bloodivore known as the "child of hope," is sentenced to death along with three friends after being blamed for killing everyone in a bank robbery. They are transported to a strange realm filled with monsters and other condemned prisoners. A girl informs them that their new collars contain explosives to prevent them from harming other Bloodivores, and gives them a single mission: survive.
The Japanese voice cast includes Kenji Akabane as Mi Liu, Eri Kitamura as Anji, Takuya Satō as Lee Shin, and Sho Hayami as Lou Yao. The opening theme is "Nenten" by Mili, and the ending theme is "Quiet Squall" by Siraph.
